Reviews
My family and I visited this restaurant last night. The food was good and the service was okay. We arrived a little before they were closing up (we called and they told us to make sure we got there before 6 PM) so they ran out of most of the everything. Besides that they were very accommodating especially for a family of 12.
Got in without a wait, and the service was fantastic! We sat down right away to chips and salsa which were very tasty. I ordered a house margarita with salt and it was very strong. So strong in fact that I forgot to take picture of our meals! I would recommend the chimichanga. The enchiladas were bland, nothing special. I’d come back for drinks and chips/salsa! Kid friendly.
Welcoming staff. Nice restaurant. Unlimited chips with authentic salsa was a hit. The kids portions were big! Pricing was also great. The cheesy refried beans was too salty. The Tamal was not good, bland and hard meat inside. The mango colada was also not good. Tasted salty. But everyone enjoyed the rest of the dishes.
We arrived on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was busy, with two or three parties ahead of us. There were three empty tables that needed to be cleaned. The manager didn’t acknowledge us for 20 minutes. When I asked to put our name on the waitlist, he said he had to serve others first. Maybe they’re understaffed, but that’s no reason to be rude.
The chips were stale. The cheese enchiladas and the shrimp tacos were acceptable. My empty tea glass sat on the edge of the table for ten minutes until we left, abandoned as were we after our food was delivered.
Sébastien was an amazing waiter. He had great recommendations on drinks and food and checked in to make sure you were satisfied. All the staff, including bartender and other wait staff, provided amazing service.
The food was delicious. 4 of us had the Mixed Fajitas, an Ultimate nachos and a beef burrito and we all commented this might be the best Mexican we've ever had!! Hard to beat.
First, let me point out that at a restaurant named “Tequilas” you should expect that they would have an extensive tequila selection… they do not even have a tequila list, so that started off as a bit of a disappointment for the ones in our party that wanted a unique tequila experience.
Our waiter started out very nice when he greeted us, but in taking our drink order, he only got to half of the table, then the girl brought chips and salsa and set them on our table and our waiter just walked away. He did not come back for several minutes with the waters and we had to ask to finish our drink order. He was very curt and barely let us finish before walking away. He acted as if we personally offended him, it was absolutely bizarre.
The food was good, but not “the best Mexican food I’ve had” like other reviews say. The flank steak fafjitas were cooked really well, the chicken was done well, the tacos were nothing too special.
Now for the vegetable fajitas, which were disgusting…. They had CELERY in them!!! Uncooked, crunchy celery and carrots. It was almost as if they ran out of good veggies to use and threw in whatever they had close by, because the dish was awful.
We were really looking forward to a dinner out with just the parents during our family vacation, but this place was such a disappointment.
Reading through other reviews, it seems as if this place is very inconsistent… we did not get cabbage with our chips and salsa, other fajitas had a sauce on them, ours did not, etc.
Loved it, the plates a huge with tons of food. Will be back.
